The Role 

Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of accreditation standards and good quality delivery across Fedcap. This role involves working closely with all support functions and operational delivery to ensure quality of service, compliance, conducting internal audits, and staying abreast of changes in accreditation and quality standard requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, exceptional organisational skills and a thorough understanding of our accreditation processes.

  • Salary: £42,000  
  • Location: Onsite in Thornaby, Stockon (TS17 6EX)
  • Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours 
  • Travel: UK travel will be required, with expenses covered.

What You’ll be doing 

  • Develop, implement and maintain accreditation programme, which includes development and maintenance of management systems relevant to the standards and procedures.
  • Lead on creation, implementation and maintenance of robust management systems e.g. QMS, EMS in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations and other certifications deemed necessary to develop business growth.
  • Ensure that quality procedures, policies, and documentation are up to date and readily accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain customer focus to ensure all complaints and customer feedback (Voice of Customer) is reported, timely actioned ensuring all feedback is analysed to drive continuous improvement of good quality of service. Keep up to date with external satisfaction approaches and continue to develop Fedcap’s approach
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve product or service quality.
  • Lead and maintain quality audit programme and conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance with Fedcap’s quality standards and external regulatory standards requirements.
  • Develop and execute quality assurance plans and activities to prevent defects and non-conformities.
  • Work in collaboration with heads of functions and CI Team to address and resolve non-conformance issues which impact accreditations.
  • Prepare and submit detailed accreditation and quality audit reports and improvement plans to senior management and Excellence Committee, ensuring that detailed quality reports and records for management review and regulatory purposes. Ensuring timely reporting of quality related metrics and trends and impact of accreditations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with accreditation bodies and regulatory agencies to ensure ongoing compliance with awarding bodies.
  • Provide training and support to our people on accreditation standards and best practices. Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organisation.
  • Stay informed about changes in accreditation, quality standards and industry regulations.
  • Lead accreditation review processes and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Any other ad hoc duties in line with delivery program requirements.

 

Your Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in accreditation & quality assurance.
  • Certification in quality management or accreditation (e.g., ISO 9001) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accreditation management software.
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholders including sub-contractors, employers, providers and funders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels.
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK when necessary. 
  • Desirable: Knowledge and experience of the employability, health and skills sectors and local labour market.
