We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to work with our StarBox clients predominately based in our Brighton office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of our leading content creator clients.

Staying on top of clients bookkeeping and monthly management accounts helps maintain a healthy cash flow for their business and identifies trends to finances early on. This kind of information is invaluable to help keep businesses healthy and profitable.

We provide a fast, cost-effective and reliable service that is tailored to suit business needs. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete management of the Accounts inbox. 
  • Working with colleagues and suppliers daily to handle all queries
  • Processing invoices using various pieces of software
  • Keeping everything up to date with a focus on two payment runs per month
  • Assisting in the initial preparation of tax returns, VAT & management accounts
  • General financial administration on behalf of the clients
  • Development of processes and procedures to accommodate business changes
  • Owning the bookkeeping across several companies
  • Ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled and correct 
  • Ensuring that different clients are treated correctly
  • Learning new software as it becomes available
  • Working as part of the wider bookkeeping & management team

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Has the desire to always produce work of the highest quality on a timely basis
  • Knowledge of VAT, Self-Assessment and Corporate Tax
  • Knowledge/experience of cloud tools (e.g. Xero/Dext/Approval Max)
  • Personable with great communication skills across all platforms (telephone, email and various instant messaging platforms)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Have the confidence to speak to clients face to face
  • Able to be based in our Brighton office (hybrid working is available after a qualifying period)
  • Great attention to detail
  • Enjoys both following and creating processes
  • Is comfortable working with the latest tech and software
  • Demonstratable experience gained in a similar role
