In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support the Underwriting teams by managing operational tasks, thereby enabling them to concentrate on production and underwriting.  

The ideal candidate will ensure consistently accurate processing across Chubb Global Markets by adhering to the "right first-time" principle, which involves 100% data quality checking prior to booking.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure high quality and efficient processing of administration requests (80%) 
    • Produce accurate, timely and efficient data entry of insurance risks, alongside general administrative duties such as indexing documentation and mailbox monitoring 
    • Be able to manage the flow of bound risks received from the underwriters through to the operations offshore team by completing booking instructions.
    • To deliver, monitor, maintain and improve the team’s KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and SLA´s (Service Level Agreements) 
    • Ensure all processing and credit control queries are answered within SLA/ agreed time frames. 
    • Build strong working relationships with underwriting teams and ensure that underwriting management are regularly communicated with and kept updated on appropriate issues. 
    • Collaborate closely with brokers upon request in addition to internal departments such as credit control, claims and compliance. 
    • Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards. 
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement (15%) 
    • In this role you will work in conjunction with the booking and underwriting teams to ensure efficient working practices are in place.  (E.g. identifying process improvements, providing feedback to reduce rework or errors and escalate any blockages to the Operations Team Leader where it is vital.) 
    • You will be asked to support with writing and review of process guides. 
  • Complete any other responsibilities/ad hoc initiatives provided by Team Leader (5%) 
    • Ad hoc requests might be required such as create and maintain reports, be at the box in Lloyd’s with the UW teams and provide training to new starters. 

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • Minimum A level standard (or equivalent). 
  • Proficient in written and spoken English 
  • Aptitude for compiling, evaluating and interpreting detailed information and data.  
  • Customer centric attitude and focus. 
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills. 
  • Numbers driven  
  • Effective verbal and written communications in English. 
  • Preferred experience in Back office and/or Customer Support  
  • Good understanding of SLA´s, targets and KPI’s 
  • Knowledge about insurance contracts 
  • You are expected to undertake training/progressing through professional examinations
