Job Description:The Head of Investor Relations & Strategy is part of the Corporate Affairs & Strategy Team and supports the SVP Corporate Affairs & Strategy in setting ASOS’ strategic direction and communicating the ASOS investment case to the market.
The role focuses on helping define and implement key strategic initiatives, maintaining a strong relationship between the company and capital markets while also developing talent within the investor relations team. The role collaborates extensively across the wider business, managing executive and Board expectations and working cross-functionally with commercial, finance, supply chain, tech, marketing, communications and governance.
The Details
- Leveraging data to drive strong strategic decision-making within the business
- Working cross-functionally to deliver key strategic projects at pace
- Challenge and improve the ways in which ASOS approaches investor relations
- Analyse and present financial trends, competitor activity, shareholder movements, and anything else that could impact the business
- Developing talent within the Investor Relations team
- Writing results and trading announcements, presentations, scripts, and supporting documents, whilst liaising with external advisors and internal stakeholders
- Preparing the CEO, CFO and other management committee and Board members for any interactions with the investment community
- Preparing financial information in readiness for results announcements and trading updates
- Representing ASOS at analyst and investor meetings
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship between the company and capital markets, including current and prospective investors and research analysts, working alongside brokers to profile and target investors
- Maintain Investor Relations website, ensuring copy and content is regularly updated

Qualifications:
About You
Investor relations roles require a broad skillset encompassing both numerical / analytical competencies and an ability to tell a story through written communications and presentations. With this in mind, we’d love you to be able to demonstrate you have experience working with numerical or financial data, or to have a recognised finance qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA).
Additional Information
- Someone who has exceptional analytical and written communication skills
- They’ll have strong verbal communication skills, able to articulate business performance and strategy to investors and analysts with confidence
- Experience interacting with the investment community, including buy- and sell-side analysts, key shareholders, financial media, and potential shareholders
- Deep understanding of financial modelling, valuation, investing, and investment management landscape
- Have strong organisation skills and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
- A high degree of tenacity and drive, and ability to work autonomously without day-to-day guidance
- Will have the ability to understand the different drivers of a P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and articulate these to external audience
- Have good strategic and financial acumen and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong emotional intelligence with a proven ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
