Position Summary:

To review, analyze and ensure that the company is operating within the standards of local, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as within the standards of company policies and procedures. In addition, the Compliance Business Specialist must operate and maintain internal databases and tracking systems and assist the Compliance department and related business units with research, data collection, investigations, document review and preparation, file maintenance and day-to-day clerical and administrative duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform compliance and auditing procedures, including adhering to all criteria for testing, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures for our clients
  • Assist management in conducting any annual or other periodic risk assessments and the development of appropriate risk controls and compliance plans
  • Conducts research and documentation for current and emerging regulatory requirements
  • Prepares compliance and risk management communications for distribution to appropriate departments and personnel
  • Assist management with the review of local, state and federal regulations to ensure the company’s compliance
  • Responsible for the management of annual license renewals
  • Plan, organize, and respond to third party vendors’ questionnaires submitted to the business
  • Perform electronic records audit and assist process servers with proper amendments
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Work on or support other compliance initiatives
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • Two or more years of related compliance experience
  • Exercise sound analytical skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in daily work duties
  • Maintain a high level of work ethic 
  • Effective communication skills   (written and verbal)
  • Ability to lead others to identify potential exposures and embrace required changes
  • Project professional cooperative demeanor at all times
  • High integrity and trustworthiness
  • Exercises sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel skills a plus
  • Minimum typing skills of 45 WPM
  • Familiarity with legal documents preferred
  • Audit experience a plus

Attendance Requirements:

Due to the nature of the ProVest, LLC’s needs, regular and reliable attendance is required. Individuals must be able to work at least a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, and be available as situations arise requiring extended hours.

Physical Requirements:

The employee may experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
