Position Summary:  

Supervise all activities and personnel on a rotating shift in the forming area of the Hot End. Interface with all sister departments to ensure optimal performance per the Pressware Safety, Quality and Manufacturing standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan & direct production efforts including tooling changes, safety improvements, process actions, etc. to obtain / maintain safe efficient operations.

Responsible to maintain / seek improvement of production selects and quality, based on real time performance. Set maintenance priorities on off shifts.

Maintain accurate / detailed logbook entries of production activities within shifts. Responsible for employee time keeping via (E-Time), attendance records, overtime lists and reconcile production reports.

Sustain constant dialog with cross functional departments to utilize glass consumption, minimize category losses, and reduce equipment DT.

Enforce all plant safety rules and plant policies. Perform Safety 5S and process audits to ensure strict adherence.

Observe / evaluate Apprentice Forming operators and provide constructive written evaluations. Ensure Apprentice operators are receiving required training.

 Must be able to work the following hours; 7am - 7pm or 7pm to 7am rotating weeks as follows:

Week 1 (7am – 7pm): Scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, scheduled off on Wednesday, Thursday. Scheduled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 

Week 2 (7am – 7pm):  Scheduled off on Monday, Tuesday. Scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday. Scheduled off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Week 3 (7pm – 7am): Scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, scheduled off on Wednesday, Thursday. Scheduled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 

Week 4 (7pm – 7am):  Scheduled off on Monday, Tuesday. Scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday. Scheduled off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

*Schedule then repeats

Qualifications:

BS degree in Engineering or Business Management preferred or 2 plus years of equivalent experience in maintenance and/or facilities engineering, manufacturing/operations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Accounting software; Microsoft Office Word Processing software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software; SAP Manufacturing software; SAP Inventory software and ADP Payroll systems.

Comp Range: $65k-$75k

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
