Accounting Intern bei Red Monkey Foods

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, general ledger reconciliation, and more. The ideal candidate is a current accounting, finance, or business student with strong analytical skills and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including data entry, invoice matching, and payment tracking.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Help maintain and organize financial documents and records for audits and compliance.
• Assist in budget tracking and variance analysis.
• Participate in internal control reviews and support process improvement initiatives.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (junior or senior preferred).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
• Prior internship or office experience in a business or finance role.
