Position Summary
Functional Medicine of Idaho (FMI) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with proven leadership or management experience to oversee a dynamic clinical team of Medical Assistants (MAs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving clinic environment and is passionate about patient-centered care, staff development, and operational excellence.
The LPN will be responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining efficient workflows, and supporting a positive team culture.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Medical Assistants and Registered Nurses to ensure clinical excellence and efficiency.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with providers and leadership to implement and maintain best practices, clinical policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
- Facilitate ongoing staff training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Manage conflict resolution, provide coaching, and foster a supportive, accountable team culture.
- Partner with leadership to develop and monitor departmental goals, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Support change management initiatives as the clinic adapts to growth and evolving patient needs.
- Serve as a liaison between staff, providers, and administration to maintain clear communication and problem-solving.
- Promote patient satisfaction by ensuring efficient, compassionate, and coordinated care delivery.
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the State of Idaho (or eligible for licensure).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a clinic or healthcare setting, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse clinical team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while adapting to frequent changes.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite; strong technical and analytical skills.
Work Environment
- Full-time, onsite role in a clinical setting.
- Requires extended periods of standing, walking, and interacting with patients and staff.
- May involve occasional travel to other clinic sites for training or coverage.
