Society Insurance is seeking a Summer intern to join our Risk Control team for the Summer of 2026. The intern will support the Risk Control department by developing technical knowledge of the department; executing job shadows; and completing assigned projects.
About the Role
- Observes field Risk Control work. Reviews Risk Control reports and recommendations for accuracy of exposures and controls.
- Orders risk control reports, recommendation checks, and drone roof surveys.
- Assists with analyzing loss trends on Society’s book of business or service accounts.
- Prepares various reports using Risk Control Management Information system.
- Reviews risk control reports and compares to policy information.
- Prepares various reports by researching, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing research and project data.
- Responds to customer inquiries on safety and risk control topics as needed.
- Assists field Risk Control Representatives and department with projects as needed.

What it Will Take
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in safety, risk control, insurance, risk management, fire protection, industrial hygiene, or related field.
- Full-time junior or senior collegiate status.
- 3.0 or better cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Prior experience working with Power BI is preferred.
