How will you make a difference?

The Lead Engineer – T4 Engine Mission Based Team is responsible for the design, development, and release of next generation Tier 4 Engine Components. This engineer will work on a focused team of high performers to directly impact customer experience of the T4 Engine while pulling from the design knowledge and support of the broader Engine & Power Solutions team.

This engineer will be responsible for the design review completion and release to field of various projects planned by the T4 Engine Mission Based Team. An engineer in this role will have the opportunity to present to engineering leadership and gain greater visibility if desired.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related engineering field
• Minimum 2 years professional experience related to the design, validation, application or field service of mechanical components or systems.
• Confident ability to present technical details to an audience of peers and expert reviewers
• Demonstrated understanding and experience related to typical design and validation processes such as FMEA and tollgate-style review.
• Ability to work constructively in a fast-paced, team-based environment and accommodate shifting priorities Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.
• Willingness to travel if needed (5%)

What will your typical day look like?

• Complete design reviews following the tollgate process to release new Tier 4 Engine Components to the field. This includes activities such as requirements generation, detailed design, drawing release, supplier selection, PPAP release
• Collaborate with the Engine & Power Systems Team to drive the Tier 4 Engine Support System projects to completion
• Work with T4 Engine Validation Leader and T4 Engine Parts & Field Coordinator on validation and field release strategy

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
