We are seeking a talented individual to join our Public Sector team at Marsh. This role will be based Adelaide. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office

We will count on you to:

  • Manage a cohort of workers compensation claims in compliance with the Return to Work Act 2014, Regulations and RTWSA Code of Conduct for Self Insured Employers
  • Coordinate medical reports, independent assessments, investigations and claims estimations to support claim resolution
  • Collaborate with employees, managers, medical providers, unions and other stakeholders to facilitate effective return to work outcomes
  • Provide strategic advice and case management support to the Local Government Association of SA Inc and represent the Scheme at the SA Employment Tribunal
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with information release protocols

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in workers compensation claims management
  • Strong knowledge of the Return to Work Act 2014, relevant regulations and claims management practices
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage confidential information

What makes you stand out:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working with local government or self-insured employers (desirable but not essential)
  • Understanding of administrative law principles and injury management legal issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and analytical skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across diverse stakeholders
