PAY RATE: $56,784 Annually (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Summary:
The GIK Acquisition and Distribution Officer I assists in procuring and distributing Gifts-In-Kind (GIK) donations. This role provides support with donor outreach, shipment coordination, recordkeeping, and eligibility review. The position ensures donated goods are properly processed and distributed to qualified partner organizations in 14 states outside of Kentucky in alignment with AERDO guidelines, CAP policy, and Operation Sharing standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with the day-to-day procurement of GIK from corporations, businesses, and non-profit organizations, including coordinating shipments and maintaining accurate records. GIK donor visits and out of state recipients visits will be required each year.
- Supports the distribution network by helping ensure the 14 states outside of Kentucky receive substantial, appropriate, and varied GIK; tracks shipments and assists with documentation and reporting.
- Assists in reviewing and maintaining eligibility records to help ensure that organizations in the 14 states outside of Kentucky meet Operation Sharing guidelines to receive GIK.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors in a related field Required
Years of Experience:
4 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience
Certifications and Licensure:
Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required
CAP Driving Certification* (or Ability to Obtain within first 90 days) Required
*In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.
Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain) Required

Stand for extended periods of time
Lift 50 lb from floor to waist
Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
