PAY RATE: $15.41 Hourly (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Summary:
Provides services to the elderly who are homebound to ease the effects of isolation and enable them to remain in their home. Hours of service depend on the needs of the participant
Essential Job Functions:
- Services include but are not limited to driving Elderly participants to and from medical appointments, some over hours’ drive from their homes; physically assisting participants in and out of their homes and vehicles; Assisting them with seatbelts and loading and unloading wheelchairs and walkers as needed. Delivering pantry food boxes, running errands (grocery shopping) and carrying items into their homes that may weigh over 10lbs. Climbing stairs and assisting participants to climb stairs. May assist with light household duties if needed.
- Assists with the planning and preparation of program events.
- Develops networking and public relations with other agencies.

Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies Required
18 Months Additional Training In related field Required
Years of Experience:
1 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience.
Certifications and Licensure:
Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required
CAP Driving Certification* (Ability to Obtain within first 90 days) Required
CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain) Required
*In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
Lift 50 lb and carry 20 ft
Push cart with 10 lb of force 30 ft
Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
Sit for extended periods of time
Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
Have good hearing capabilities
Stand for extended periods of time
