We are looking for a Bartender to join our family-owned Italian grocery and serve beverages at the bar of our restaurant. If you’re interested, we would love to hear from you!

The Bartender contributes to the company’s success by serving the beverages, engaging customers, and creating a welcoming environment. Attributes that contribute to success in this role include strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to excel in a fast-paced work environment, and being personable and friendly.

The Bartender’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for customers.
• Planning drink menus by estimating alcohol costs and profits and consulting with management
• Providing customers with friendly and courteous service; recommending drinks.
• Creating an amicable atmosphere through presentation of bar and engagement with customers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are of the legal drinking age.
• Handling cash, credit/debit, check, and gift card transactions with customers.
• Maintaining a clean bar by removing trash, cleaning surfaces, and washing glasses.
• Complying with sanitation and hygienic standards and regulations.

The Bartender’s work hours vary and may consist of day and evening shifts.

The ideal candidate for the Bartender position:

• Previous bartending and restaurant experience.
• Availability to work Monday – Friday during lunch hours.
• Availability during weekends and holidays is a must.
• Wages include $11.00/hour PLUS tips.
• A positive attitude, engaging personality, and can handle customer complaints / issues with diplomacy and tact.
• Possesses strong customer service and communication skills.
• Can work expeditiously and efficiently; and multi-task as needed.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
