EssentialFunctions

The individual must behave consistently with CarolinaPower’s Mission and Vision and focus on safety, company policies andprocedures, procedures and guidelines. Gain knowledge of all aspects ofElectrical Installation field operations including but not limited to worksitesafety, materials and equipment nomenclature, installation processes, equipmentoperations, and blueprint reading.  Thisposition requires a decisive leader with a passion for hands-on work in outdoorenvironments and a strong drive for construction project managementwork. The Intern will be responsible for completing special projects asdirected by the branch manager.  Projectsmay include standard field experience, business market research, assisting withthe development of project documentation software, and developing QualityAssurance/Quality Control standards & forms.

Qualifications

Thisposition requires a willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment,possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively withMetroPower employees, customers and vendors. Must be a quick learner andconsistently display a positive attitude and willingness to assume a variety oftraining opportunities within the company. Must have a desire to work in ateam-based environment and contribute immediately. This position requires avalid driver's license.

Incumbent must possess

- Pursing Bachelor’s Degree
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- Strong desire to learn and to be a contributing team member
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products and the web
- Strong desire to be part of a dynamic and Servant Leadership based company

Required Skills andPhysical Requirements

- Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves moderate manual labor in outdoor environments
- Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs and bend, stoop, squat, sit and maneuver in confined spaces
- Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose him/her to silica dust or other hazmat
- Ability to maintain workloads that may include interstate and intrastate travel and daily timeframes that could exceed typical business hours
