POSITION SUMMARY

The Cancer Resource Center Liaison for the Cancer Resource Center is a key member of the Marshall Cancer Center team, supporting the Cancer Program Coordinator in the efficient execution of Cancer Program operations. Stationed at the Cancer Center’s front desk, this role serves as the primary point of contact, providing exceptional customer service, connecting patients and caregivers to vital resources, and ensuring smooth day-to-day program operations.

The Cancer Resource Center Liaison plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with national standards, enhancing service delivery, and removing barriers to care. Through strong organizational skills, initiative, and collaboration with internal and external partners, this position drives the success of the Cancer Program, consistently improving the quality of patient care and supporting the organization’s strategic goals.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • *Must meet all DMV requirements listed below.

  Knowledge:

  • Two years customer service preferred.
  • Experience with thorough minute taking and tracking action items preferred.
  • Experience with meeting preparation and coordination preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of community organizations preferred.
  • Knowledge of functions of Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) required.
  • Experience working in Epic electronic medical record system preferred.

Skills:

  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication
  • Ability to maintain, manage, and analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Proficient in drafting, editing and formatting professional documents in multiple formats and system
  • Experience in program support and program integration across clinical/administrative entities.
  • Basic office and computer equipment familiarity required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Displays flexibility, willingness to respond to changing circumstances and/or expectations
  • Exhibits proactive problem management
  • Ability to act independently
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and maintain a positive disposition at all times
  • Prefer a candidate with the ability to develop, manage and enhance patient and provider relationships
