The Opportunity:
The WSU Foundation builds on the enthusiasm, pride and loyalty of the Cougar family to grow philanthropic relationships, broaden the base of alumni and donor engagement, and responsibly manage assets to advance WSU’s mission, vision and goals.
As the Assistant Director, Corporate Engagement for the WSU Foundation and a member of the Corporate Engagement team, you will develop and manage WSU’s Corporate Cougs alumni and affinity group program to enhance university engagement with alumni employed by key corporate partners. Additionally, you will lead the establishment of corporate alumni networks at select companies, manage related data and communications, and coordinate internal partnerships to support cross-campus collaboration with Fundraising Units. In collaboration with internal teams and external corporate partners, you will identify and track corporate giving opportunities, manage matching gift initiatives, and create and maintain stewardship and sponsorship resources. This position must exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing these duties and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and professionalism while representing the university to internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE) temporary position. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on final salary placement. This position is a remote position but the incumbent must be located in the Greater Seattle area.
Start Date: Anticipated start date will be in January 2026.
Temporary End Date: This is a temporary two-year position expected to end on 12/31/2027. May be eligible for permanent status based on performance and funding.
Monthly Salary: $5,337.47 - $8,175.11 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in corporate philanthropy and development, fundraising, volunteer management, and/or non-profit work.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with managing multiple projects and setting priorities
Must have, or be able to obtain by the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with corporate giving trends and the philanthropic landscape.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute a fundraising project from conception to realization.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Experience in writing proposals.
Experience with alumni/donor database applications.
Demonstrated experience with donor prospect research and ‘moves management’ systems.
