What role will you play as a member of Colgate's Information Technology team?
As a Data Warehousing manager you will focus on growing a team which leads our data warehouse technologies, implementing processes and governance in our data warehouse platforms, and building a data-driven culture within Colgate.
The Data Warehouse Manager will be an experienced data warehousing expert who enjoys working with users and enabling people and teams. Your team will take on challenging problems like optimizing company wide processes and establishing and growing the usage of new technologies. You will lead a team of platform engineers who support our analytics developers, automate and enhance our platforms, and help to transform our business with analytics based insight. You must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the needs of multiple teams, systems and products. You will be excited by the prospect of growing our platforms and expanding our data warehouse and data lake capabilities to support our next generation of data products and analytics initiatives.This team is a group of innovators and technologists that love to learn and collaborate!
This position is based out of the Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What you'll do

Project manage key data projects for priority business areas.

Maintain our data warehouse and data lake platforms and implement effective governance processes

Design and implement standards and processes which keep our data systems healthy and optimized

Enable teams to build analytic solutions that effectively achieve business goals

Build and mentor a team of highly skilled platform experts

Foster a community of developers users who use data to enable their teams and business

Explore related emerging technologies and new capabilities
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
-
5+ years professional experience as a database administrator, data engineer, or related role

Expert in SQL programming and systems

Experience with Python, Java or other programming languages
Preferred Qualifications
-
2+ years managing a technical team
-
Experience using self service visualization rolls like Tableau, Power BI, or DOMO

Experience with DBT, Starburst or Iceberg technologies
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $115,200.00 - $168,500.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
