SUMMARY
The Facilities Coordinator will ensure clean and safe facilities, grounds, and vehicles. The Facilities Coordinator will clean the Central Office and the Lake Site office on a regular basis. The Facilities Coordinator will travel to all sites and assist sites as needed. The Facilities Coordinator will work with Management and Human Resources to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors in Lakeport offices on at least twice per week.
- Take out trash and recycling as needed, but at least twice per week.
- Clean bathrooms daily, including mopping and cleaning bathroom, sink and toilet.
- Replenish paper products daily.
- Dust all desks and furniture on a weekly basis.
- Clean exterior and interior windows and glass on a monthly basis.
- Clean window sills.
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen area, including sink, counter, microwave, and refrigerator, on a daily basis.
- Sweep down spider webs.
- Clean closets and storage areas as needed.
- Maintain outside of office and pick up litter.
- Sweep sidewalks and parking lot as needed.
- Change light bulbs and install HVAC filters.
- Hang pictures and bulletin boards and perform other light carpentry work.
- Notify management concerning need for repairs.
- Move, arrange, and assemble furniture and office equipment within the office or between sites and storage.
- Assist Site Managers with site relocations.
- Clean vehicles, drive vehicles to appointments for detailing or repair.
- Install GPS units in vehicles.
- Relocate vehicles to different sites as directed.
- Act as back-up to the Vehicle Coordinator.
- Prepare vehicles for staff travel (fuel, check fluid levels, etc.).
- Coordinate the CTTP safety program.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and stage safety regulations.
- Conduct safety observation at the Central offices and while visiting Site Offices.
- Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
- Maintain Material Data Safety Sheet Binder.
- Maintain storage units.
- Assists with PSPS shutdowns, including setting up generator, purchasing fuel, and running cords. Connect to server when IT staff is not available.
- Paint offices upon request.
- Assist in office emergencies at all sites. Deliver food, supplies, emergency checks, and donations to Site Offices.
- Assist other departments in installing safety equipment.
- Maintain closed participant files. Dispose of files per retention schedule.
- Assist the Fiscal Department with annual inventory at the Central Office and at the Site Offices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current California driver’s license.
- One year of janitorial work.
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines and other state and local safety regulations.
- Knowledge of chemical safety and necessary precautions.
- Ability to teach others established safety standards.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Familiarity with tools, machines, and equipment used in the workplace.
- Ability to scale ladders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Computer literacy and ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated, aware of surroundings and detail oriented.
- Ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people.

- Requires frequent local driving and occasional driving to site offices, some of which are in remote locations.
- Some chemicals are used in this environment. Required safety items are provided and must be worn by the employee when performing his/her duties.

- Experience working with Tribal People helpful.
- Work hours may vary.
- CTTP conducts a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test, and random or for-cause drug testing thereafter.
