POSITION SUMMARY:
You’re a closer. As a Customer Retention Sales Specialist, you turn “I want to cancel” into “I’m staying.” You’ll run a proactive pipeline of At-Risk Revenue (ARR), uncover root causes, negotiate solutions, and close the save—protecting revenue and relationships. Your KPIs are sales-centric: Save %, ARR retained, re-churn avoidance, and disciplined pipeline execution.
What You’ll Do (Sales-First):
- Own a book of ARR: Manage an at-risk pipeline and prioritize by impact × urgency × win probability.
- Sell the save: Run discovery, handle objections, negotiate targeted offers, and close.
- Control the call: De-escalate with precision, set a simple plan, and secure next steps/time-bound commitments.
- Forecast & report: Maintain airtight notes, stages, and outcomes; forecast saved revenue with accuracy.
- Partner to win: Coordinate with Field Ops/Billing/Support to unblock deals and prevent re-churn.
- Continuously improve: Test talk tracks, A/B offers, share wins, and iterate based on data.
What Success Looks Like:
- Consistently meets the qualification bar (your fair share of monthly ARR volume) and delivers ≥15% Save %.
- Exceeds tiered performance goals with disciplined activity, strong conversion, and clean CRM hygiene.
- Raises the bar on customer experience while protecting margin.
Core KPIs:
- Save Percentage (Saved Revenue ÷ your ARR)
- ARR Retained and re-churn rate
- Activity discipline (speed-to-engage, follow-ups, next-step set rate)
- Forecast accuracy & Salesforce data quality
