Maintenance Technician
The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both
safe and operating efficiently. This candidate will be comfortable ensuring necessary equipment and
utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple
projects at once. This candidate should also be comfortable working with a team and
communicating across departments.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role at our headquarter location in Richmond to support our
operations, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and aesthetics. This position will
coordinate, lead, and perform maintenance and facility related improvement and repair efforts for an
a growing manufacturer of custom luxury furniture.
Responsibilities:
Overall maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility assets, such as CNC
machines, boiler system, PLC controlled immersion coating line, powder coating system, industrial
ovens, dust collection, ventilation, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, motors, pumps, and others.
Problem solve/troubleshoot within a team and independently, through creativity, ingenuity, and
teamwork.
Ensure downtime is monitored and minimal.
Support the manufacturing operation for production through equipment sustainability,
improvement, safety, and repair.
Communicate with all necessary parties to coordinate activity around repairs and installation.
Schedule, perform and/or monitor Preventative Maintenance programs.
Maintain spare parts inventory for critical equipment.
Coordinate and supervise work through Contractors when necessary. (i.e. Fire Protection, Security,
Janitorial, Landscaping, etc.)
Support new equipment planning and installation.
Position Type: This is a non-exempt, full-time, hourly, onsite position. This is primarily a first shift position;
however, some 2nd shift or emergency call in may be needed.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
3-5 years experience working with production equipment, such as CNC machines, PLC controlled
immersion lines, coating, boiler systems, and welding equipment.
In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
Skills:
Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
Mechanically and spatially skilled.
Effective and accurate communication.
Resourceful - drawing from self-knowledge and others.
Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exposure to aluminum fabrication, welding, or powder coating a plus.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
