- Learn client and/or company policies and procedures for the development of site designs for electrical distribution facilities to serve a variety of customer needs.
- Learn and be trained to prepare site drawings and construction sketches for various installations of electrical facilities in a cost-effective manner that maximizes safety and service reliability
- Learn and be trained to prepare job packages including material estimates and material requisitions of the materials required for the prepared distribution electrical designs.
- Learn and be trained to evaluate loading of various equipment components being installed such as transformation or fusing to ensure a cost-effective, safe, and reliable design.
- Learn and be trained to maintain accurate records and files and update the appropriate client systems with accurate data entry.
- Supports both company and client's business goals and expectations while representing themselves positively and professionally.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Required High school degree or GED.
- Preferred Associates degree (AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school).
- Note: In certain situations, an Associate Degree or 4 year degree may be required based upon client project or contractual requirements
- 0-1 Year(s) Experience in technical field or GIS/CAD.
- No experience required but experience in utility field desired.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operational procedures, etc.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
