WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Exemplifies MCR’s values and sets a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism through the application and guidance of the Resort Leadership Expectations.
- Oversee all spa, pool, and fitness operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and adherence to brand standards.
- Ensure all guest-facing and back-of-the-house areas are clean, safe in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement up-selling strategies to maximize spa revenue.
- Build strong treatment and retail offers, focused on quality and guest satisfaction.
- Schedule staffing levels based on business needs, daily traffic, and special events (conventions, groups, VIPs).
- Oversee usage, inventory, treatment products, and cleaning supplies, ensuring proper training and compliance.
- Champion a culture of exceptional guest service and personalized wellness experiences.
- Smile and regularly engage with guests and team members
- Serve as the primary point of contact for VIP guests and high-profile clientele.
- Innovate spa services and wellness programs to align with industry trends.
- Monitor the condition of spa facilities, including furniture, fixtures, and décor, ensuring a pristine appearance.
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance and sanitation programs.
- Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Drives services and retail revenue with strategic pricing, promotional initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Manage spa inventory effectively and follow Muckleshoot Casino Resort purchasing standards to ensure audit compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of payrolls, sales commissions, and/or independent contractor payments.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of spa professionals, team members, and independent contractors, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for growth. Analyze competitor offerings in both casino and non-casino environments to maintain a competitive edge.
- Cultivate partnerships with corporate clients and local businesses to grow group and membership opportunities.
- Perform all duties assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5 (five) years of experience as a Spa Manager in a Resort, Hotel, or Casino or similar quality, or a well-established spa brand.
- 3 (three) years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong knowledge of spa operations, wellness trends, retail operations, and guest service excellence.
- Luxury spa/hotel experience a plus!
HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL
- Broad knowledge of hospitality industry health and safety standards.
- Broad knowledge of and connection in the luxury market/spa space.
- Working operational knowledge of Spa, Membership, and recreational software.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and applicable software.
- Skilled in establishing credibility and rapport with operating leaders.
- Ability to exhibit excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to demonstrate extraordinary service-focused phone and conversation etiquette.
- Ability to achieve positive results in a high-pressure, high-volume, and fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work well as a part of a team.
