We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Veterinary Practice Manager to lead and oversee the operations of Sunshine Animal Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our hospital, providing exceptional client service, and fostering a positive work environment for our team members. About our clinic: Sunshine Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal hospital, offering the gold standard in medical and surgical care. We believe healthy pets make happy people, and we strive to provide high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs in the Northern Virginia area. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography. Most importantly, we have phenomenal, experienced support staff, and amazing DVM/Medical Director, who are all crucial to the success of patient and client care.

Location: Sunshine Animal Hospital is located in Annandale, VA just inside the Beltway of Washington D.C. Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Staff Management:
• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of veterinary professionals, support staff, and administrative personnel.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff members, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
2. Business Operations and Financial Management:
• Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the clinic's operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and revenue growth.
• Monitor and manage the clinic's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships.
3. Client Service and Satisfaction:
• Ensure exceptional client experiences by maintaining high standards of customer service, communication, and professionalism.
• Address client concerns and feedback promptly and effectively, striving for continuous improvement in client satisfaction.
4. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, industry standards, and best practices to uphold the highest quality of care and safety.
• Implement and maintain protocols for patient care, medical records, and administrative procedures.
5. Marketing and Business Development:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, retain existing clients, and enhance the clinic's reputation.
• Identify opportunities for business growth, such as expanding services, partnerships, and community outreach.
6. Facility and Resource Management:
• Oversee the maintenance and organization of the clinic's physical facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate with IT support for technology systems, software, and hardware maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Management, or related field. MBA or CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) certification is a plus.
• 2-5 years of veterinary hospital management experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and client interaction.
• Business acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in using practice management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
• Passion for animal welfare and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
• Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted.

Benefits:

Salary: $65,000-$85,000 an hour, to commensurate with experience.
