POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of Quality Support Specialists and/or Quality Technicians to ensure incoming, in-process and final inspections activities are completed per Intricon’s Quality Management System (QMS) and in a timely manner. Manages the team’s time and attendance to ensure Operation support is adequately covered within budgeted guidelines.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises assigned Quality Assurance team members, covering up to 3 shifts supporting 24/7 operations. *
- Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Intricon’s policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include managing attendance in Intricon’s HRIS, approving time off requests, managing department schedule/coverage. *
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and assessing and communicating team member performance reviews. *
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work to meet departmental objectives; appraise and document performance; reward and discipline team members; address and resolve team member complaints and problems. *
- Inspection of incoming materials, work-in-process, final components/assemblies, ensuring such items conform to engineering technical data and specifications and supporting documentation is provided to the customer as required. *
- Ensure team compliance with policies and/or procedures governing specifications, safety, preventive maintenance, etc. *
- Complete documentation of Q.A. processing to ensure quality records meet QMS requirements. *
- Ensure QMS procedures for non-conforming product is followed throughout Operations and manage MRB documentation on a daily basis. *
- Train production personnel on quality processes such as, but not limited to workmanship standards, inspection and/or test techniques and SPC. *
- Assess production process issues and recommend improvements. Recommend manufacturing or technology aids to increase speed and efficiency. *
- Supervise the selection, workflow, training, and development of staff. *
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school or equivalent preferred
- Training in quality-related subject matter is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years inspection experience or three (3) years of experience with applicable plant product lines, desirable.
- Medical device/medical device component inspection preferred.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience.
Skills:
- Experience using measuring devices, such as, optical comparator, toolscope, inspection systems, micrometer, dial indicators, microscope, calipers, and assorted test fixtures to perform inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications.
- Inspection and measurement capabilities using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and vision systems.
- Cross-functional interface and cooperation to advance total quality objects.
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and good math aptitude.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong leadership qualities such as active listening, empathy, collaboration and problem solving.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing (MS Word), Spreadsheet (MS Excel) and ERP (Epicor) software.

SALARY RANGE:
The anticipated base pay for this position is: $28.00 - $36.00
Intricon is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
