Responsible for assisting in administering and maintaining the Company’s Benefit programs. Functions as a liaison between vendors and employees. Advises employees on eligibility, coverage and other benefit matters. Compiles and maintains benefit records, documents, and prepares reports.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Responds to employees' questions and address any concerns they may have regarding the Company benefit programs, including health insurance, wellness program, retirement plans, and all benefit policies.
- Processes 401(k) enrollments and distribution, loan, and hardship requests.
- Responsible for the funding and payment of benefit program invoices.
- Oversees the administration of COBRA, Wellness Program, and the Flexible Spending Account.
- Assists in the administration of the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
- Prepares and distributes regular benefits-related communications to employees via email and SharePoint site
- Processes and maintains accurate employee benefit files. Verifies information provided by employee is correct. Records enrollments, terminations, and make employee changes in the payroll system.
- Assists with the annual enrollment process, including preparing and distributing materials, conducting meetings, and answering employee questions
- Provides ongoing support for the HR and Benefits teams
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
- Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
- Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.
- Conducts training in orientation for New Hires.
- Prepares benefit packets for New Hires.
- Assists in the set-up of employee events and programs as necessary.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience working with insurance vendors preferred.
- Working experience of basic accounting skills.
- Knowledge of HR concepts, practices and procedures, specifically HIPAA, COBRA, and ERISA.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to be proactive, take initiative, monitor, follow through and meet deadlines on time.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
- Ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others, and of company documents and records.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED required. One (1) - three (3) years college preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
