Wilson Farm is seeking a talented and motivated First Commis / Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. This hands-on role is responsible for producing high-quality prepared food items for our retail stand, ensuring excellence, consistency, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong technical cooking skills, a passion for American-French cuisine, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.  At Wilson Farm, we take pride in our long tradition of delivering fresh, high-quality food to our customers. Starting hourly rate of pay $21.00, commensurate with experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare and produce all food items for sale in the retail stand, following established recipes and quality standards.
  • Take full ownership of assigned station, including organization, preparation, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure that all menu items are prepared on time and meet Wilson Farm’s high standards for taste, presentation, and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and assist other stations as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work area, ensuring proper rotation and storage of ingredients.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and respectful team culture.
Requirements


  • 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in an American-French cooking environment.
  • Serv-Safe Certified a plus.
  • Strong culinary skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of  proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work a 50-hour workweek; must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holiday
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours).

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and various cooking equipment.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

· Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors
