Summary/Objective:The Weighmaster is responsible for weighing loaded trucks and taking walk-in and FOB customer orders.Essential Functions:Weigh trucks on scale, enter weight into computer, generate paper ticket or send electronically.Assist delivery professionals with routes.Assist walk-in customers with orders, generate tickets and coordinate delivery. Take phone orders as needed.Work closely with dispatchers to provide price information to customers as required. Act as a back-up to dispatchers as needed.Complete cash deposits and COD sales reports. Forward completed documents and cash to the Billing department or appropriate office. Prepare end of month reports.Coordinate and dispatch Pit trucks.Other duties as assigned.Non-Essential Functions:May dispatch local orders in coordination with central dispatch.Maintain customer relations with local customers.Perform miscellaneous administrative functions as required.Assist with tracking aggregate inventories and notify required personnel of impending shortages.Assist MSHA, OSHA and any other safety or regulatory inspectors as needed.Fill in as needed for colleagues (which may include working out of other sites).JOB SPECIFICATIONSWork Environment:Work time will be indoors/office.Exposure to dust, fumes/offensive smells, and chemicals.Close proximity to moving mechanical parts.Noise level varies from low to loud depending on location, i.e., office to plant, respectively.Physical Demands:Lift a maximum weight of 20 lbs. and carry up to 20 lbs. on occasion.Sit approximately 7 hours per day and walk or stand the other 1 hour per day.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSSpecial Skills:Written communication, verbal communication, and basic mathematical skills.Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office, Dispatch system.Data entry skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Certifications:N/AIndustry Related Experience or Skills:N/AEducation Required: High SchoolPreferred Education: N/ABilingual in Spanish Preferred: No
