Position Summary:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This role involves leading a team of warehouse staff, managing inventory levels, and coordinating the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. The ideal candidate will also handle various administrative tasks related to warehouse operations. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in maintaining smooth and effective warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize occupational safety in the warehouse and promptly report any unsafe equipment or behavior.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to support and develop the warehouse team.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager with labor planning, material flow, and warehouse organization
• Understand and communicate written policies, including quality, and safety standards.
• Review warehouse documentation daily to include forklift inspection sheets, receiving logs, and daily GMP walks for completion and accuracy.
• Support warehouse team to fulfill sales orders and ensure orders are delivered complete and timely.
• Enter data daily into PO Update and inventory tracking system accurately
• Verify warehouse team members are accurately entering data into inventory tracking systems where applicable.
• Recognize team contributions and suggest ideas to build morale and engagement.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations
• 3+ years of experience training and coaching warehouse staff
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite and a valid California driver's license. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift certified 
• Ability to load and unload trucks

• WMS experience preferred
• Demonstrates effective leadership in a team-oriented environment, with strong self-motivation, clear communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of process management and continuous improvement principles.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry at least 55 pounds frequently. Must be comfortable working in a loud environment. Must be able to stand, reach, grasp, push, and pull for extended periods of time. Limited bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching are required. Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.

Compensation range: $30 to $35 per hour
