Brunswick Cove Living Center is looking for a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care to our residents, implementing effective therapeutic interventions that support their rehabilitation and help them regain independence. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, ensuring that each resident’s unique needs are met.
Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the PRN position requires your availability to cover shifts based on the facility's needs. Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to assess the physical, social, and emotional needs of patients
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate therapeutic exercises and activities aimed at improving functional abilities
- Document patient progress and modify therapy plans accordingly
- Educate individuals and their families on treatment goals and strategies for improvement
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Preferably experienced in a clinical setting, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation
- Strong communication skills and professional interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required
- Demonstrated compassion for patients and a commitment to quality care
