Join Our Team as a Cook at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown!

At Parks Hospitality Group, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency, and mentoring junior kitchen staff to help develop their culinary skills. You will also support menu development while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare, cook, and present complex dishes with skill and consistency.
• Oversee kitchen stations, adjusting timing, temperatures, and seasoning as needed.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and plating standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering, rotating, and storing ingredients.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and safety standards.
• Enforce safety guidelines for equipment and food handling.
• Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

What You’ll Need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Culinary education preferred.
• Certifications in food safety and sanitation, such as ServSafe, are highly desirable.
