The HR and L&D Co-op will provide project and administrative support to the Human Resources department, including the Learning & Development function. Area of exposure will include recruiting and onboarding, employee engagement surveys, L&D programming, the company’s learning management system (LMS), and employment branding & communications. Day-to-day activities include recruitment consultations, interview scheduling across multiple departments, managing programming logistics & materials, evaluating e-learning resources, as well as bigger projects aligned with achieving department goals and corporate objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support the recruiting team with interview scheduling, candidate communication, interview debriefs, and recruitment consultations.
Support new employee onboarding program preparation, execution and tracking.
Organize and coordinate logistical requirements to support on-site and virtual internal training programs and development initiatives, including booking conference rooms, room setup, training materials, equipment, vendors, presenters and catering.
Design, develop and update presentations, handouts, training evaluations, job aids and other materials as needed.
Research engaging/creative ways to promote internship and co-op programs through LinkedIn, video testimonials, Workday etc.
Aid in the research and development of programs and curriculum needed to support a changing organization.
Collaborate with the Learning & Development Coordinator to manage the upkeep and effective use of our LMS (Workday Learning).
Ensure data integrity in HRIS (Workday).
Perform miscellaneous HR Administrative support. Organize and maintain HR records and employment files, including employee engagement surveys, invoices, and contracts.
Support annual department goals by participating in a variety of projects as required.
Education, Requirements, and Competencies
Must be a current Northeastern University student working towards a Bachelor’s degree. Business, Communications, or Organizational Development focus preferred.
At least one completed co-op/business related internship is preferred.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment to meet adapting deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. SharePoint, MS Forms, and LMS experience is a plus.
