We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team at a multi-family affordable housing community in Baton Rouge, LA. This role is responsible for supporting the Property Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth office administration, assisting prospective residents through the leasing and certification process, and providing excellent service to our current residents.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in attracting, qualifying, and educating new residents
- Manage leasing, re-certifications, and required documentation
- Greet prospective tenants, assess their needs, and provide property tours
- Collect rents, deposits, and issue late notices as needed
- Address and resolve resident concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records, data entry, and file management
- Ensure timely processing of work orders and maintenance requests
- Provide customer service to prospective and current residents
- Support corporate office with research and reporting needs
- Enforce community policies, rules, and regulations
- Assist with supervising and training property staff
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in property management with 100+ family units
- Strong leasing and marketing skills
- Familiarity with HUD, Section 42, and Section 8 compliance (2+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi, OneSite, or RealPage experience a plus
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with residents and team members
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
