Role
At Amangiri, we strive for excellence in every detail. The Purchasing and Warehouse Manager plays a pivotal role in sourcing, negotiating, and securing high-quality products and services that support our operations. This leader manages the resort’s shipping and receiving logistics, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will be a collaborative relationship-builder and a sharp negotiator who achieves the best value without compromising on quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving functions.
· Implement efficient processes from ordering through to distribution.
· Monitor cost of goods, inventory, and waste to maximize profitability.
· Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and supplier performance.
· Serve as the operational lead for the Birchstreet procurement system.
· Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and government regulations.
· Supervise a small team responsible for resort-wide shipping and receiving.
· Support departmental managers in safeguarding storeroom assets.
· Participate in the resort’s Manager on Duty rotation.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing or purchasing management; warehousing/logistics experience is an asset.
· Strong leadership skills with a positive, respectful, and collaborative management style.
· Proficiency with procurement software (Birchstreet), accounting systems, and Microsoft Office.
· Proven ability to maintain accurate and auditable records.
· Experience in supervising, scheduling, and developing teams.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift heavy loads for extended periods.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying climates, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Full-time, year-round role; flexibility for some evenings and weekends required.
