Cocktail Server

Location: The Mint Casino – Reno, NV
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: Beverage Manager / General Manager

Position Summary

The Cocktail Server is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by taking and serving beverage and food orders in a fast-paced, high-volume casino environment. This role requires strong guest interaction, product knowledge, and teamwork to deliver a consistent and enjoyable experience at The Mint Casino.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming and energetic environment.

• Accurately take and deliver drink and food orders while ensuring compliance with responsible alcohol service laws.

• Maintain knowledge of The Mint Casino’s menu, daily specials, and promotions.

• Monitor guest consumption and behavior to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and handle guest payments.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, tables, and work areas.

• Work closely with bartenders, servers, and support staff to ensure seamless service.

• Follow all state and company policies regarding responsible alcohol service, health, and safety.

• Assist in side work including stocking, cleaning, and preparation before, during, and after shifts.

• Provide a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality to guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous cocktail server or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card (Nevada-issued) and Food Handler Safety Training Card required prior to start.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for long periods.

• Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying of trays and beverages.
