Description
Stokes Equipment Company, a leading distributor of loading dock equipment and industrial doors, is seeking a customer service representative to join our team. The Customer Service Representative (CSR) acts as a liaison between customers, sales, and service, ensuring smooth communication, accurate order processing, and coordinating shipments. This role supports the sales team and requires constant collaboration with internal departments to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Onboarding: Work alongside the sales team to onboard new clients into key service systems. Collaborate with the Finance department during new client onboarding to ensure timely collection and submission of completed credit applications, supporting account setup and billing readiness.
- Work Order Creation: Responsible for initiating work orders by accurately entering customer demographic information and service details into the system, ensuring clear documentation of job scope, equipment, and special instructions.
- Sales Support: Work alongside sales team to manage contracts and change orders needed during work order lifecycle. Ensure accurate entry of job-related pay rates (i.e. Union, Prevailing Wage, etc.)
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company, customer, and state-specific requirements related to contracted work. Collaborate across departments to verify that all regulatory and contractual obligations are met prior to service execution.
- Installation Coordination: Oversee and facilitate effective communication with vendors, carriers, and customers regarding order shipments, while monitoring and tracking critical service dates.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Data entry (2+ years)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Salesforce/Servicemax, Netsuite, JD Edwards, and/or Servman experience (preferred)
