Our Engineering Quality group is responsible for designing and developing components that are critical to the performance, reliability, and integration of our race car. As a Validation Design and Test Intern, you’ll be part of a team that transforms engineering concepts into race-ready solutions.
The Role
As a Validation Design and Test Intern, you’ll support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies across the car. You’ll work closely with experienced design engineers, contributing to CAD modelling, design validation, and documentation processes that ensure performance, manufacturability, and compliance with F1 regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design of mechanical components using CAD software
Support the preparation of technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with analysis, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams to ensure design feasibility and performance
Help ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements
Who We’re Looking For
Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
Experience with CAD software
Familiarity with design for manufacture and mechanical systems
Passion for motorsport and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
You must have the right to work in the UK as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in October
