Position Summary:
Seasonal position focused on preparing and cooking a variety of food for the cafe, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment and involves a strong emphasis on quality, freshness, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Execute all food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Efficiently cook and assemble a variety of menu items—including breakfast, lunch, and dinner—on a cooking line. Must be proficient with a variety of cooking methods like grilling, frying, and sautéing.
- Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared to meet the cafe's standards for quality and visual presentation.
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation always, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor inventory levels at your station and communicate any needs for supplies or ingredients to kitchen leadership.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Must be willing to work with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.
- Assist with general kitchen duties, which may include dishwashing, receive deliveries, and maintaining shared kitchen areas.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)
Technical- Cooking Skills/Basic kitchen skills
Physical Capabilities- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally.
Additional- Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
