About the Role:
The Content Writer is responsible for developing clear, compelling, and consistent written content that communicates the Center for Entrepreneurship’s mission, programs, and impact. This role works in close collaboration with the Multimedia Officer to translate complex ideas and program outcomes into engaging stories that connect with key audiences, including students, alumni, faculty, funders, and ecosystem partners.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, creative, and thrives in a lean, high-output team environment. They will proactively identify and source stories, craft narratives across various formats (e.g., articles, reports, social media, newsletters), and ensure all content reflects the Center's identity and voice.
Reports to: Assistant Director, Marketing & Communications
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development & Storytelling
- Research, write, and edit high-quality content—including feature stories, impact reports, newsletters, blog posts, program summaries, and social copy—aligned with ACE’s brand and strategic priorities.
- Translate program data, research, and complex ideas into accessible narratives for diverse audiences.
- Conduct interviews with students, alumni, faculty, and partners to capture authentic, first-person perspectives.
- Work with program teams to identify timely story opportunities that highlight milestones, achievements, and lessons learned.
Channel & Platform Coordination
- Draft and schedule content for ACE’s social media, newsletters, website, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the Multimedia Officer to pair strong visuals and video with written narratives.
- Maintain and manage the editorial calendar to ensure deadlines are met and content is strategically timed.
- Support event communications with pre-, live-, and post-event coverage, ensuring cohesive messaging across channels.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyse engagement and reach metrics across platforms, identifying trends and improvement areas.
- Apply audience insights and analytics to refine tone, structure, and content formats.
- Propose new content formats, thematic series, and storytelling approaches to strengthen ACE’s voice and audience engagement.
- Share actionable recommendations during team reviews to align content with quarterly communication goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of professional writing or content creation experience.
- Excellent written English and editorial skills, with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across formats.
- Strong interviewing and research abilities to uncover and shape compelling stories.
- Ability to adapt writing style for different formats, channels, and audience segments.
- Familiarity with SEO principles, CMS platforms, and email marketing tools.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
