Summary: The Program Manager position is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating programs according to predetermined timelines and budgets and to ensure customer satisfaction.  Building and managing program teams, managing cost to maintain as sold margin, and ensuring quality control throughout program life cycles.  Define program objectives, create schedules and oversee quality control throughout the entire program.  

 Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspect of a program including financial, quality, manpower and program execution from initiation to closure
  2. Develop the program charter and establish clear ownership for program tasks. Complete program charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timeline
  3. Identify all stakeholders and share the pertinent information with the team. Present program updates, KPIs, and strategic insights
  4. Utilize the gate review process to track progress and review program tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  5. Assess program issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals
  6. Issue resolution, escalation plan, risk mitigation, communication plan (Internal and external) and provide regular updates to customers and the management team
  7. Ensure AX system properly set up to manage programs
  8. Lead, coach and motivate program team members. Mentor early career program managers and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. 
  9. Perform all other duties, as assigned

 Requirements:

  1. 10+ years’ program management experience 
  2. 3 years’ experience in Tooling and equipment supplier program management preferred 
  3. High School diploma or GED equivalent
  4. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or similar background preferred
  5. Demonstrated leadership ability, specifically informal leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to rally a team
  6. Excellent organization skills with demonstrated ability to execute programs on time and on budget
  7. Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
  8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including Microsoft Project
  10. Strong written and oral communication skills.  Able to concisely develop material to present to all levels of customer and internal leadership including ‘C-suite’ executives. 

 Work Environment: This position operates in both an office and a manufacturing site environment

Work type & Expected hours of work:   Regularly works on-site at local Paslin locations. Work schedules are flexible around core business hours of 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Role Experience Level: Senior level professional with 10+ years of relevant industry experience

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs.

Direct Reports: This position may have direct reports including Program Managers, Project Coordinators or Project Engineers.

Travel: This position requires occasional local travel between Paslin sites, and frequent overnight travel to customer sites up to 30%.  Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to sites in USA, Canada and Mexico.
