JOB SCOPE:
A core focus is to drive AI adoption, automation, and process reengineering to transform workflows, minimize manual administrative tasks, and deliver a streamlined, modern employee technology experience. The Head of HR Systems, Payroll & Automation will lead a team of HR technology, systems, and payroll professionals, fostering collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with Transformco's business goals.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Head of HR Systems, Payroll & Automation is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing Transformco s HR technology ecosystem and payroll operations. This role ensures the effective management, optimization, and integration of platforms that support Human Capital Management (HCM), payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, applicant tracking, compliance, and workforce management.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directs the strategic management and continuous improvement of Transformco s comprehensive suite of HR systems, encompassing Human Capital Management (HCM), payroll, Candidate Relationship Management (CRM), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), timekeeping, scheduling, and regulatory compliance platforms
  • Formulates and implements a future-focused HR technology roadmap aligned with business goals and the organization s commitment to a superior employee experience
  • Ensures Technological Integrity and Compliance by maintaining the highest standards for data integrity, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance across all HR technology solutions
  • Oversees end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely processing in strict adherence to tax regulations and applicable legal standards
  • Facilitates Cross-Functional Collaboration with Finance, Tax, Legal, and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risk, ensuring compliant and efficient payroll delivery
  • Leads innovation efforts leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline and modernize HR and payroll processes
  • Conducts comprehensive operational reviews and drives process redesign initiatives to reduce manual workloads and enhance overall efficiency
  • Applies advanced data analytics to uncover performance trends, identify areas for continuous improvement, and optimize system functionality
  • Leads and develops a diverse team of professionals responsible for HR systems, payroll administration, and system operations
  • Develops and strengthens collaborative relationships across HR, IT, Finance, and Legal to deliver integrated, enterprise-wide technology solutions
  • Serves as a transformational leader, driving the adoption of new technologies and spearheading HR operational innovation
  • Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Over 10 years of related experience
  • 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR technology, payroll operations, or HR systems leadership, with 5+ years in a senior management capacity
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale automation and technology transformation initiatives within HR or payroll functions
  • In-depth understanding of payroll operations, tax compliance, and HR processes
  • Experience managing and integrating enterprise HR systems across multiple functions
  • Strong track record in leading teams, managing vendors, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Bachelor s degree required; Master s degree in HR, Business, IT, or a related field preferred
  • Strategic and visionary leadership in HR technology and automation
  • Excellence in project management and change management
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable system solutions
  • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on innovation and efficiency
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
