Purpose of Position:
The Vice President of Admissions serves as a key member of WyoTech’s leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive admissions and enrollment management strategy. This role oversees recruitment and student retention initiatives, ensuring alignment with WyoTech’s mission, vision, and institutional goals. The VP of Admissions will provide leadership, innovation, and data-driven decision-making to strengthen enrollment outcomes and foster strong connections with students and stakeholders. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic leader to join our executive team and shape the future of enrollment and student success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan that aligns with WyoTech’s mission, vision, and goals, incorporating recruitment, marketing, and student retention initiatives.
- Leadership & Management: Provide vision, leadership, and direction to the admissions department, hiring, training, and supervising admissions staff.
- Recruitment & Marketing: Create and implement strategies to attract prospective students through various channels, including digital marketing, outreach events (college fairs, high school visits), and public relations.
- Data & Technology: Utilize data-driven insights and Salesforce (CRM) systems to inform strategic decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and monitor key performance indicators.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other WyoTech departments, such as Financial Aid, Student Life, and Training, to create a seamless and integrated experience for prospective and enrolled students.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the admissions budget with the Campus President and VP of Training, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for student success.
- Representation: Represent the institution at various events and conferences, fostering relationships with all key stakeholders and building brand awareness.
Requirements
Associated Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing enrollment strategies that meet or exceed institutional goals.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and grow high-performing teams.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications (A combination of the following experience and training, or the equivalent of, would be qualifying):
- Bachelor’s degree in education administration, marketing, business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 8–10+ years of progressively responsible experience in admissions and enrollment management.
