About the Role
The Senior Procedures Analyst provides technical support to users within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and operating systems to prevent downtime and ensure seamless laboratory testing and validation.
In collaboration with the section supervisor, the Senior Procedures Analyst also serves as system administrator for CoPath and Data Innovations software, and partners with IST on the implementation and updates of the EPIC system. Additional responsibilities include performing daily system checks and ongoing maintenance of CoPath and related applications to support laboratory operations.
Responsibilities:What You’ll Do
- Provides computer guidance, maintenance, and troubleshooting for CoPath, Instrument Manager (Data Innovations), SafetraceTX, EPIC Beaker, RightFax, and related laboratory information systems.
- Performs daily and monthly system checks, assists IS&T staff with server maintenance and security patching and ensures proper uptime and shutdown procedures.
- Configures drivers, tests connectivity, mapping, and maintains software builds and updates across laboratory systems
- Defines database parameters for new tests, instruments, and laboratory implementations, ensuring changes are reflected accurately across all LIS environments, and submits required logs to IST.
- Creates reports and serves as a technical resource for laboratory staff, supporting system use and operational efficiency.
- Maintains and secures computer accounts for laboratory users and provides off-hours troubleshooting coverage during on-call schedules, downtime, or emergency situations.
- Ensures compliance with University Hospital policies, regulatory standards, and corporate compliance guidelines while performing other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, or a related field; equivalent education, training, and/or experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with clinical software applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic communication tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for system analysis and documentation.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and related terminology preferred.
- Familiarity with CoPath, Safetrace, EPIC, and Data Innovations (Instrument Manager) software applications preferred.

Compensation (NJ Job Transparency Law)
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary rate for this position is $67,780.00 - $97,091.00
