CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Project Manager – Agile Champion opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

 

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months

 

Duties:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams in delivering custom development solutions or managing application maintenance and support.

  • Ensure project completion within defined scope, budget, and timeline, while meeting business requirements and contractual obligations.

  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and staffing requirements, coordinating resources across IBM, client employees, and 3rd-party vendors.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication plans, ensuring consistent and transparent updates to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Serve as an Agile Champion, driving adoption of Agile practices and frameworks across project teams to improve delivery outcomes.

  • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to foster collaboration and accountability.

  • Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure project health and proactively implement corrective actions.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts, promoting Agile maturity and operational excellence across teams.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and project management methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor resources effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years applying Agile methodologies.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders, including vendors and client teams.

  • Background in application development or support management is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • PMP and/or Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.) strongly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
