CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Project Manager – Agile Champion opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Lead cross-functional project teams in delivering custom development solutions or managing application maintenance and support.
Ensure project completion within defined scope, budget, and timeline, while meeting business requirements and contractual obligations.
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and staffing requirements, coordinating resources across IBM, client employees, and 3rd-party vendors.
Establish and maintain effective communication plans, ensuring consistent and transparent updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Serve as an Agile Champion, driving adoption of Agile practices and frameworks across project teams to improve delivery outcomes.
Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to foster collaboration and accountability.
Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure project health and proactively implement corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement efforts, promoting Agile maturity and operational excellence across teams.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and project management methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor resources effectively.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years applying Agile methodologies.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders, including vendors and client teams.
Background in application development or support management is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
PMP and/or Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.) strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
