Trade Marketing Representative (Boise, ID)

The Trade Marketing Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by executing tailored sales and merchandising programs across retail accounts within a defined territory. This role combines field-based account management, strategic planning, and in-store execution, including product placement, promotional activity, and retailer engagement. It requires frequent travel (25–75%) and includes activities such as analyzing sales data, managing stock and orders, negotiating sell-out agreements, and monitoring market trends

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prioritize store visits using sales data and customer importance.

  • Execute marketing programs, negotiate volume agreements, and ensure product placement aligns with planograms.

  • Provide strategic insights, track competitor activity, and guide retailers on tobacco category management.

  • Maintain merchandising standards and support with inventory management when needed.

  • Record and evaluate performance using internal tools like Synergy

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (post-secondary education preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in FMCG sales

  • Strong communication, selling, and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Synergy is a plus

  • Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs, climb ladders, and install signage
