?The BeyondTrust System Administrator will serve as a key technical resource on a small team responsible for the operation and sustainment of an existing BeyondTrust privileged access management (PAM) environment. Additionally, this role will also support expanding the existing (on-prem) PAM tool into an Oracle cloud environment. This role is focused on hands-on cyber and system administration activities directly related to BeyondTrust, supporting the team lead and ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable PAM operations.
Requirements
- Support day-to-day administration, monitoring, and maintenance of the BeyondTrust PAM platform, including configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Execute technical cyber activities such as account provisioning, access reviews, credential management, and log analysis within BeyondTrust.
- Assist with the discovery and current-state assessment of the BeyondTrust environment, and help implement get-well plan actions as directed by the team lead.
- Participate in the deployment and integration of BeyondTrust with enterprise systems, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with DoD security policies, STIGs, SRGs, and other applicable standards.
- Document system changes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Respond to security incidents and audit requests related to privileged access.
- Collaborate with the team lead and other administrators to resolve complex technical issues and support continuous improvement.
- Provide input for technical documentation, reporting, and knowledge base updates.
- Current role is expected to be on-site at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA as needed to support classified environment deployments – no fewer than 1x/week on site, and up to 5x/week on site. On-site requirements may shift throughout the duration of the project.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience administering and supporting BeyondTrust or similar PAM solutions.
- Strong technical skills in system administration, troubleshooting, and cyber operations.
- Familiarity with DoD security policies, STIGs, and RMF processes.
- Experience supporting deployments in complex enterprise environments
- Ability to follow established processes and contribute to technical problem-solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- DoD 8140 approved certificate for privileged access required (e.g., SecurityX)
Desired/Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting deployments in cloud environments (OCI experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., BeyondTrust Certified Administrator) strongly preferred.
