Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Provide daily supervision and work direction for the Maintenance and associates. 
  • Responsible for effective training & utilization of the staff.
  • Primary contact for service vendors, negotiating price of supplies and equipment (i.e.: Bruner, OKI, Landscaping, Equipment Vendors)
  • Responsible for annual supply budget – cleaning supplies, operating supplies, and non-capital purchases.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to provide the level of service needed
  • Coverage of Production Equipment requiring a technician, both electrical & mechanical and automation.
  • Troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment by using analytical techniques for finding the root problem and making the proper corrections. Requires an in-depth understanding of the equipment and how it operates, recommends energy efficient opportunities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of equipment from simple mechanical to advanced high-speed packaging with pneumatic and high-speed processor controls. Lengthen equipment's life by proper maintenance and reduce life cycle cost. New equipment installation. Working with vendors and suppliers. Operates, repairs, modifies and maintains equipment
  • Record keeping with MSDS, Silliker audit, repairs, and insurance requirements.
  • Responds to facility emergencies and works with the Fire Department and village on knowledge of all codes.
  • Creates a climate providing motivation, participation, and opportunities for employees to do their best. Prepares staff for future opportunities and takes an active role in the development of staff. Impacts retention by fostering a respectful team environment that supports workplace values through professional communication and timely problem solving.
  • Responsible for monitoring employee performance and creates and delivers PIA's and PDR's for direct and indirect report.
  • Responsible for season planning by developing programs and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the department.
  • Providing a safe work environment by resolving all issues discovered by the safety committee or leadership.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7
