Job Summary: The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance and control processes within our wire harness assembly operations. This role ensures that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with ISO standards. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality professionals and work closely with other departments to drive continuous improvement and maintain our commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO standards.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
- Manage customer complaints and work towards effective resolution and prevention of future issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in wire harness assembly.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) is a plus.
- Must have a strong and proven background in manufacturing, ISO 9001 expectations/equivalent
- Must have experience in Internal Auditing to ISO 9001 standards
- Proven and tested analytical skills, CQE preferred
- High level of Teamwork and communication skills with internal and external customers
- Must be performing “Above the Bar”
- Must have achieved IPC/ WMMA 620 Certification
- Completion of “Leading Teams” training
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Training Skills
- Accurately scanning in and out of work orders with a high percentage rate (%)
- Have at least 3 team members earn WHMA certification during a quarter
