Trenam Law is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Estate Planning and Trust Administration practice. This role is critical to supporting our attorneys and clients in all phases of estate and trust administration, with a strong focus on responsiveness, efficiency, and delivery of excellent client service. Requirements
- Estate Administration
- Prepare and file probate pleadings and related court documents.
- Assist in identifying, valuing, and collecting estate assets.
- Communicate with executors, beneficiaries, and financial institutions.
- Draft inventories, accountings, and reports required by the court and beneficiaries.
- Maintain calendars to ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and probate requirements.
- Trust Administration
- Support attorneys in the administration of revocable, irrevocable, and charitable trusts.
- Assist with trust funding, including preparation of transfer documents, assignments, and beneficiary designations.
- Track trust income, distributions, and expenses.
- Serve as a resource for trustees and beneficiaries on procedural and administrative matters.
- Tax and Compliance
- Assist with preparation of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns.
- Coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to ensure compliance with federal and state tax obligations.
- Maintain organized files and tracking systems for deadlines.
- Attorney and Client Support
- Draft correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents.
- Provide case status updates and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items.
- Serve as a responsive and professional point of contact for clients, trustees, and beneficiaries.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Minimum of 3 years of estate and/or trust administration experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of probate procedures, trust administration, and estate tax filings.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with estate/trust management or accounting software preferred.
