Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Director Brand Development & Commercialization leads the brand positioning and commercialization strategy for Therma-Tru Doors and Larson Storm Doors. This role involves establishing brand goals, measuring performance, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. Additionally, you will oversee the launch of new products or services, aligning with company objectives and market demands to drive strategic decisions and maximize revenue opportunities. You will be responsible for developing brand-specific strategies across various channels, that include content strategies, as well as brand-specific campaigns involving public relations, email marketing to social media, and continuously analyzing market trends to optimize tactics for sustainable growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the entire marketing funnel to ensure all efforts contribute meaningfully to long-term business growth.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and execution of annual comprehensive marketing brand plan and AOP budget.
  • Own the commercialization strategy for Therma-Tru and Larson products and innovations; act as the product marketing lead by working cross-functionally with Product Management, Channel Marketing and COEs to create compelling marketing strategies for new products.
  • Oversee marketing brand and commercialization processes and plans for new product launches, programs and training to support “Class”, identifying the product positioning, key reasons to believe, messaging and visual strategies, tactic and budget required to successfully launch to the market.
  • Drive collaborative efforts with SMEs in Brand Communications, Trade Shows, Training, Creative, Digital and Merchandising to optimize commercialization execution and create brand and messaging consistency across all experiences.
  • Maintain deep understanding of the Therma-Tru and Larson brand identities, positioning and architecture, business priorities, and strategic initiatives. Use them as a guide for commercialization plans.
  • Transform intricate data and research findings into actionable insights, empowering other departments to enhance their strategic approaches.
  • Work with Project Management to build out key deliverables and timelines associated with Brand Development and Commercialization owned activities, providing regular updates in team meetings, and elevating any risks to delivering plan.
  • Provide direction to internal and external creative agencies for creation of visual, print, and digital content. Bridge gap between engineering and creative to provide any 3D files needed for renderings.  
  • Work with Brand Operations and CoE teams by identifying priority products to display at national shows and provide supporting product content such as messaging, imagery, videos, and training content.
  • Own budget forecasting and management to optimize marketing investment and deliver on forecast expectations and business goals.
  • Communicate brand and commercialization metrics/updates to cross-functional team members as appropriate, including Product Stage Gate updates and other regular updates.
  • Present brand and commercialization plans/updates to leadership as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of business experience in marketing environment; experience in developing strategic communication and product marketing plans required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Omnichannel marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Sustainability experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $140,000 USD - $220,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
